Wrath is my sin, Lust is my bait, Envy was my Life, Sloth was my luxury, Gluttony was my fear, Greed was my true goal, and Pride my driving force.

I am Brianna Orays, I may be 16 but I hold knowledge stronger than most men can handle. In my afterlife, I look back on my first life. I regret my decision.

One day when I was home I was cooking a lovely vegetable soup over the open flame. When my husband walked into the house, we were a poor family but I was able to gather fruits and vegetables to make sure we always were fed and had our taxes paid.

When I looked at him he looked like he had been given the best news of his life, he looked around the house and asked me, "Where are our children?"

A smile played over my face, "Suzan is in the garden gathering flowers and Jacob is out playing with the other town boys. They'll be back in a little bit."

I went back to stirring the stew and humming my favorite tune, when he came up behind me and kissed the nape of my neck, "I love you no matter what, always remember that."

I nodded as a tear fell into the stew; he always knew what to say to touch my heart.

Over dinner, we all did our daily prayer in thanks, and then when my husband raised his head, a dark shade had passed over his face, "The kings army needs men, I signed up."

I dropped my spoon into my bowl of soup, "Why the hell would you do that?" I yelled.

Both of the kids jumped in their seats and looked at me and him, as I continued, "I refuse to let you go through with this! You'll lose your life…or worse…" Tears were flowing down my face, my dark hair fell over my eyes and I stared at the table.

"If you die, I have no choice but to follow you. You do understand this right?" I looked up hell-bound and determined to change his mind, but what I saw when I looked up set my mind on another path.

I saw him smiling, and when he opened his mouth to speak he had a small hint or humor in it, "I don't really believe you would follow me. I don't think you'd leave our children behind."

I looked at him, "We adopted them, and they knew one day I would be gone, they know what I'll do to this curse bound kingdom…no one will remember it, no one will have the True Power."

He just laughed some more, "Do what you will. I belong to the king tomorrow."
